Product Description

12 Jars Pack of Deep Conditioning Hot Oil Treatment by Dabur Vatika 17.63 OZ

What is Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment?

Hot oil treatments involve applying warmed oil directly to your hair in order to help condition it. This is usually done to temporarily repair damaged hair. Using curling or straightening irons, styling products or blow drying your hair regularly can damage your hair. This may result in thin, dry hair that is prone to breaking and you may even suffer hair loss.

The Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment contains olive oil, almonds and henna extract, which the manufacturer claims creates a product that provides deep conditioning for your hair. Specifically designed for people suffering from hair fall, hair loss or even simply dull and dry hair, this Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment is supposed to make your hair healthier, shiny and silky.

Rather than a hot oil treatment, the Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment – Deep Conditioning for Dry Dull and Lifeless Hair, as the full name suggests, is actually a deep conditioner. More cream than oil, it comes in a jar and needs only to be applied for fifteen to twenty minutes to take effect.

A full list of ingredients is given further down but there are no chemical compounds that stand out as being dangerous or hazardous to your health.

Is Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment something I should use?

If you are in search of a deep conditioner to help fix your damaged hair, the Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment may be exactly what you need.

It comes in a convenient jar, is easy to apply and washes off with a rinse or a shampoo. Hot oil treatments and deep conditioning moisturize dry hair and are generally considered quick fixes for damaged hair. However, regular use can give you healthy and lustrous hair in the long term as well.

The Good

Most users will find an improvement even after the first use. Your hair will be noticeably smoother, shinier and heavier. This will translate to truly healthy, moisturized and lustrous with regular use. Most reviewers find that the Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment helps tame frizzy hair and flyaway hairs.

Occasionally, deep conditioners may leave your hair feeling greasy or weighed down with product even after rinsing or shampooing it. Fortunately, reviewers have indicated this is not the case for the Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment. It has a pleasant smell, which is a bonus as herbal products sometimes have scents that are heavy, cloying or uncomfortably strange.

The Bad

Almonds are used in the Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment so if you are allergic to them you may wish to skip this product. No other ingredients stand out as cause for concern.

If you have light hair, you might notice your hair color begin to darken with regular use. This is most likely due to the henna as well as a sign of healthier hair. People with dark hair will likely not notice any difference at all.

We find that the Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment is a great deep conditioner. It is very reasonably priced and has ingredients. We cannot conclusively say whether this product actually helps reduce hair fall or hair loss. This is because the Dabur Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Treatment is primarily used as a deep conditioner and not as a cure for hair fall or hair loss. However, all the reviews with regards to its capability as a deep conditioner are positive and reinforce our belief that this is a must try product for anyone with dry or damaged hair.

After Shampooing or Normal Wash

  1. Apply cream on your hair.
  2. Massage your hair and scalp gently with your fingertips to ensure complete application on hair from root to tip. (Note: You could also detangle your hair at this step!)
  3. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. For best results, keep hair wrapped in a hot towel (or use your steamer!)
  4. Rinse off hair as usual.

  1. Ignore the "creamy" hair

Posted by henotheist on 17th Apr 2015

"My hair is healthy, and perfectly well behaved, pretty much throughout the year except in winter when it ...just...sulks. Chicago winters just make it sulk harder, fiercer and with more tenacity. My scalp gets oily because of hats, and my ends are super dry, and this mostly makes me look like I was struck by lightening...while wearing an invisible skullcap. I have tried a lot of leave in conditioners, but I was raised to believe healthy hair was not bouncy and weightless but heavy, lustrous, smoothly flowing, and with not a single fly away in sight. Most western brands have not given me that. This one delivered. The smell is a tad incense-y but not unpleasant (to me), the texture a bit goopy, and some of the ingredients made me raise my eyebrows (MARROW EXTRACT?? The vegetable or the stuff in bones??), and they seem to love their lactose analogies- flowing like cream, creamy smoothness and that made me giggle throughout the shampooing process (I am easily amused).

But, after shampooing, I squeezed out excess water, applied to hair, wrapped with saran wrap since it was laundry day, had breakfast (20 minutes) and rinsed thoroughly and my hair looked healthy, heavy, seriously lustrous, with not a fly away in sight, all what my mother has insisted for more than 3 decades are the signs of the nicest hair.

That said, this is not the "Indian" Vatika that seems to be (at first glance) quite vegetarian friendly. It is a Middle Eastern product (Dubai). Thus, you might wish to check on that marrow extract thing, if you are vegan, or if using animal based products bothers you."
