Top your favorite Baked Goods with Morton Coarse Kosher Salt, just before baking, brush bred, rolls, bagels or soft pretzels with an egg-water wash or melted butter, and generously sprinkle Morton Coarse Kosher Salt on top. Caraway, poppy or sesame seeds, toasted onion or garlic pieces can also be added.
Koshering Meat or Poultry: Select kosher-slaughtered meat or poultry. Place in a large bowl and cover completely with cool water; let soak 30 minutes. Drain Completely cover all sides with Morton Coarse Kosher Salt. When koshering poultry, completely cover inside iof cavity with salt also. Place meat or poultry on designater rack or cutting board (if using a board, have it tilted at an angle). Let stand 1 hour. Shakeoff salt. Thoroughly rinse meat or poultry twicewith tap water. Cook according to your favorite recipe.
Usage Tips: Generally you can use Morton Coarse Kosher Salt in your favorite recipes as you would Morton table salt...teaspoon for teaspoon. For amounts greater than 1/4 cup, increase the amount of Kosher Salt by one tablespoon for each 1/4 cup of salt.
